St. John in Fonte Baptistery, Rome

The Baptistery was built by Constantine and during the 4C every Christian was baptised here. The dome’s batptistery has an octogonal shape. The Baptistery was rebuilt in the 5C by Sixtus III who set up the columns in the centre. Nowadays, it is used for the ceremonies of Holy Satursday.
