Trastevere,
whose name means “across the Tiber”, is one of the more
authentic and characteristic districts of Rome, attraction for Romans
and turists thanks to the fashionable restaurants, clubs and boutiques.
The Janiculum hill offers one of the most beautiful view
of Rome.
In this area, with its patchwork of narrow little streets,
lie fascinating medieval churches, such as Santa Maria in
Trastevere. Remarkable is the Tiber Island, linked to the
Trastevere district through the ancient brigde Cestio. On
the same side of Trastevere, there is the Janiculum hill,
where it is possible to admire a spectacular and extended
view of Rome.
