S. Mria Maddalena, Rome

The church, stands on the site of a 15C oratory and hospice. It was rebuilt in 17C by Carlo Fontana who was succeeded by followers of Bernini. The façade, in Rococo style, was erected later in 1735 by Giuseppe Sardi; its contorted lines and abundant decorations are an exaggeration of Borromini's style. Also the interior is a rare example of the Rococo' in Rome.
