This church is dedicated to Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuit order and of the Roman College. It was begun in 1626 to the plan of a Jesuit, Orazio Grassi. Grassi also designed the façade producing a solemn and austere ensemble. The interior is decorated with precious stones, marbles and stucco.
