Naiadi's Fountain, Rome

The Naiad fountain at the centre of Piazza della Repubblica is dated 1885. Mario Rutelli's four naked bronze nymphs caused scandal when they were unveiled in 1901. Each reclines on an aquatic creature symbolizing water in its various forms.
