This palace was built between 1483 and 1513 but the architect is not certain. Today the palace is occupied by the Papal Chancery and enjoy the privilege of extra – territoriality granted to Vatican property under the terms of the Lateran Treaty. Its façade and the courtyard make the building the most elegant product of the Renaissance in Rome.
